Guide to purchasing lacrosse equipment
Buying Tips
1. Try it on before you buy - fit is everything! Too big or too small is no good! 2. Don't be lured by fancy names and crazy color patterns - basic works just as well 3. Use your favorite search engine to find the cheapest prices Fit Guide
-Arm/Elbow pads - to ensure a good secure fit, purchase pads that have a securing strap at the top of the pad
-Shoulder pads - try these on with arm pads on to ensure they don't "handcuff" you (not able to move your arms!) -Gloves - Look for a comfortable fit and the ability to hold your stick -Rib/Back/Kidney pads - Optional equipment -Cup/Athletic supporter - Optional but suggested -Stick - Look for a light, slightly flexible head. Again, fancy doesn't mean better. Mesh vs traditional stringing is player preference. For younger/newer players, mesh is suggested.
*Keep in mind the more you wear your equipment, the more broken in (and smellier) it will become. Brand new arm pads, shoulder pads, and gloves are no fun for anyone, so break them in as soon as possible! Always throw with your gloves on -- you will never play a game without gloves, so why practice that way?!
